Sweetness!

Have a wonderful 3 day weekend.  We got to meet the ducklings that Ms. Brill has been incubating in the Science Lab.  The only thing cuter than the ducklings is children petting them.

Artful Learning

This week we extended our learning by creating art.  We have so many  talented and creative second graders.  After studying The Little Yellow Leaf this week we  made a collage quilt of our favorite pages to celebrate the art of Caren Berger.  Monarchs are magically symmetrical so we did a painting activity to explore the idea of symmetry ourselves. What do you do when your project is not finished but it's time for snack? Have a picnic snack, of course.
