Saying good-bye and moving on is always bittersweet (we chatted about what that means). I'm sad to see them move on but they are ready for the new challenge. Thanks so much for all our families who supported us along the way with supplies, volunteering and guidance from home. We couldn't have done it without our 2nd grade village. Best wishes for a fun, relaxing summer! I'm always here if you need anything. Check out the summer reading idea page . Enjoy these last scenes from room 140 and beyond! How lucky are we to have a week full of amazing activities. Storyteller, Rona Leventhal and author Molly Burnham inspired us to read , write and create amazing stories. The student favorite is always the Character parade. I caught most of the children but somehow missed snapping individual photos of a couple. Thank you parents for helping with the creative costumes. Thursday we shared wonderful books with our Community Reader Lyndsay Stratton(Vin's mom). Thanks to Mrs. Brill we were able to release several painted lady butterflies, always a special event. It all wrapped up with the suspenseful rendition of Mary Pope Osborn's book Winter of the Ice Wizard.
