Welcome to Second Grade 

I'm thrilled to begin our year together.  Our room is cozy and ready to welcome everyone on August 30th.  If you can Pop In on August 29th from 2-3 to see our room and say hi to new and old friends.  See you in 2nd grade!

2nd graders chose just right books this week to read during reading group time or when they are finished with their work. Seeing children happily engaged with a book is one of my favorite teacher moments. We dove into academics with assessments, computer programs and our math and reading programs. They were up for the challenge, jumping in with curiosity and persistence.

Oh what a wonderful year!

 Saying good-bye and moving on is always bittersweet (we chatted about what that means).  I'm sad to see them move on but they are ready for the new challenge.  Thanks so much for all our families who supported us along the way with supplies, volunteering and guidance from home.  We couldn't have done it without our 2nd grade village.  Best wishes for a fun, relaxing summer!
